Refund & Cancellation Policy

This page explains when refunds may be granted for purchases and subscriptions made through FileKit, and how to request help if something goes wrong.

Last updated: 27 November 2025

1. Scope

This policy applies to digital content purchases, subscriptions and add-ons made through FileKit. Because FileKit delivers digital files and access instantly, our ability to offer refunds is limited. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

2. Digital Goods & General Rule

When you purchase a digital File on FileKit, access is typically granted immediately after successful payment. Once a File has been successfully delivered, downloaded, or otherwise accessed, we generally cannot offer a refund simply because you changed your mind, no longer need the File, or did not like its contents.

However, we want buyers to have a reliable experience. If you encounter a genuine problem with access or delivery, please contact us so we can help investigate.

3. When Refunds May Be Considered

Subject to our review and applicable law, we may consider a full or partial refund in situations such as:

  • Non-delivery or technical failure. You completed payment but cannot access or download the File, and our team is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable time (for example within 7 days of your first support request).
  • Duplicate purchase. You accidentally purchased the same File, add-on or subscription twice and have not used the duplicate access.
  • Unauthorized payment. Your payment method was used without your permission. In these cases you should also contact your bank or payment provider and follow their security procedures.
  • Misrepresentation. The File is clearly and materially different from its description or preview and we confirm that it does not match what was advertised.

4. When Refunds Are Generally Not Available

We generally do not provide refunds in the following situations:

  • You have successfully downloaded or accessed the digital File and later decide you no longer want it.
  • You purchased the wrong File but it was delivered as described.
  • You do not have the necessary software, device or technical knowledge to use the File, where these requirements were reasonably described.
  • You expected an outcome that was not promised in the File description (for example a particular business, academic or financial result).
  • You violated our Terms or attempted to abuse the refund process.

5. Subscriptions & Add-ons

  • Subscriptions (for example Pro or Elite plans) renew automatically unless cancelled in advance from your account settings.
  • If you cancel a subscription, you typically retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. Future renewals will not be charged.
  • We generally do not grant refunds for past subscription periods that have already been used, unless there was a clear billing error.
  • Storage or feature add-ons are usually non-refundable once activated, unless there was a technical failure on our side.

6. How to Request Help or a Refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund or need help with a purchase, please contact our support team as soon as possible with:

  • Your account email address and username;
  • The File or subscription name and purchase date;
  • The payment reference or transaction ID (if available);
  • A short description of the issue and any relevant screenshots.

You can reach us via the Contact page or by emailing support@filekit.app. We typically respond within 1–2 business days.

7. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge directly with your bank or card issuer, we may be required to provide transaction details and usage logs to them. Unfounded or abusive chargebacks may result in suspension of your account or restrictions on future use of FileKit.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example via in-app notice or an updated date at the top of this page). Your continued use of FileKit after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
