How do I create and upload a new file?

Click on "Add File" in the navigation, then use the file form to add a title, content, pricing and access options. You can upload attachments, add cover images, links and rich text before publishing.

What file types are supported?

You can upload common formats like JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, MP4, WebM, MOV, MP3, WAV, OGG, PDF and EPUB. You can also create purely text-based or link-only files without uploading large binaries.

Is there a file size or content limit?

Per-file limits for links, assets and cover images depend on your plan – the Free plan is great for getting started, while Pro and Elite increase or remove many of these limits. See the Pricing page for the latest details.

How many files can I create?

All current plans let you create as many files as you like. Your plan mainly controls how much lifetime storage you get and how much content you can attach to each file (links, assets, cover images, team features, analytics, etc.).

What are the differences between Free, Pro and Elite?

Free is ideal to explore FileKit with 500MB storage space and core features. Pro increases storage, unlocks unlimited links, higher asset and cover image limits, and adds team members, file admins, analytics and coupons. Elite gives even more storage, unlimited assets and covers, advanced analytics and priority support. Enterprise plans are custom. For exact limits and pricing, visit the Pricing page.

Can I control who can access my files?

Yes. When creating a file you can choose visibility (everyone, members, or only you), set per-file passwords, limit access by domain, cap the maximum number of users, and invite specific members or admins to collaborate.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?

Yes. You can start on the Free plan and move to Pro or Elite whenever you need more storage or features, or move back down if your needs change. Your active plan controls storage, limits and advanced features, not your existing files.

Do you offer yearly billing or discounts?

Yes. On the pricing page you can switch between monthly and yearly billing. Yearly billing for paid plans is discounted so you effectively pay for 10 months instead of 12.

Can I buy extra storage on top of my plan?

Yes. Paid plans can purchase extra storage add-ons on top of the included lifetime storage. The Pricing page shows current add-on pricing (for example, extra storage per additional GB per month in each supported currency).

What happens if I reach my plan limits?

If you hit storage or per-file limits for links, assets or cover images, new uploads or attachments may be blocked until you free up space, upgrade your plan, or purchase extra storage. Existing files remain available based on their visibility and access settings.
