This Policy applies to information we collect when you use FileKit, visit our website or interact with us (for example via support, contact forms or social channels). By using FileKit, you agree that your information will be handled as described in this Policy.

We collect information in three main ways: information you provide to us, information collected automatically, and information from third parties such as payment providers.

  • Account & profile information. When you create or update an account, you may provide your name, username, email address, profile photo, bio, social links, preferred currency, and other profile details.
  • Content & usage. We store the Files and metadata you upload (including titles, descriptions, attachments and access settings), as well as information about how you configure and share them, and how you interact with content (for example views, favorites, sales and analytics events).
  • Payout & billing data. When you configure payouts or make purchases, we and our payment processors collect information such as billing details, transaction IDs, payment method type and payout account details (for example bank or UPI information). Card numbers and other sensitive payment data are handled by our payment processors and are not stored in full by us.
  • Support & communications. If you contact us via support, contact forms or email, we collect the information you provide and our responses, including any logs or screenshots you choose to share.
  • Log, device & analytics data. When you use FileKit, we automatically collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location, timestamps, and identifiers associated with your device or session. We may use this information for security, abuse prevention, analytics and performance monitoring.

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to help operate and improveFileKit, including to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage and protect against fraud and abuse.

6. How We Share Information

  • Service providers. With trusted vendors who help us operate FileKit, such as cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, customer support and security providers. These providers process data on our behalf under contracts that limit their use of your information.
  • Other users. Certain profile and content information is visible to other users, depending on your settings (for example your public profile, username and Files you make publicly accessible).
  • Compliance & legal. When required by law or in response to valid legal processes, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of FileKit, our users or the public.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or a portion of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. Data Storage, Transfers & Retention

Our services are operated from India, and we may store and process data on servers located in India or other countries, depending on our infrastructure providers.

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide FileKit, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we may delete it or anonymize it in accordance with our retention practices.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. However, no online service can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

You are responsible for choosing strong passwords, keeping your login credentials confidential and promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access to your account.

  • You can review and update much of your account and profile information directly within FileKit.
