Community & Content Guidelines
These guidelines explain how to use FileKit responsibly as a creator or buyer, so that everyone can share and access high-quality, safe content.
Last updated: 27 November 2025
1. Overview
FileKit is a place to create, share and sell digital files. To keep the community safe, trustworthy and useful, we expect everyone to follow these guidelines in addition to our Terms & Conditions.
These guidelines apply to all content you upload, actions you take on the platform, and interactions with other users.
2. For Creators & Sellers
- Only upload content you have the right to share. Do not upload pirated, scraped or otherwise unauthorized copies of other people's work.
- Respect copyright and trademarks. If your File includes third-party assets (fonts, images, audio, code etc.), ensure you have the appropriate licenses and that you can grant buyers the rights you promise.
- Avoid harmful or abusive content. Do not publish Files that promote hate, violence, harassment, bullying, or exploitation, including sexual exploitation or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Describe your Files accurately. Use honest titles, descriptions and previews. Do not exaggerate benefits, hide important limitations or misrepresent what buyers will receive.
- Deliver a good experience. Check that your Files open correctly, that dependencies are clear, and that instructions (where needed) are up-to-date.
- Set fair pricing. Choose pricing that reflects the value of your work and complies with any policies or limits described on our Pricing and FAQ pages.
- Provide reasonable support. While you are not required to offer 24/7 support, responding politely to buyer questions and issues helps build trust and reduces disputes.
3. For Buyers
- Review before you buy. Read the File description carefully, check previews where available, and make sure the technical requirements match your needs.
- Respect licenses. Only use Files in ways that are allowed by the seller's license and applicable law. Do not resell, redistribute or share purchased Files in ways that go beyond what is permitted.
- Be honest in feedback. Reviews and ratings should be based on your actual experience with the File, not on unrelated disputes or personal attacks.
- Protect your account. Do not share your login details. If you suspect unauthorized access, update your password and contact support.
4. Prohibited Content & Behavior
The following are not allowed on FileKit. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Our Terms & Conditions contain more detail and always apply.
- Illegal content or conduct in any applicable jurisdiction.
- Copyright infringement or distribution of pirated materials.
- Hate speech, harassment, bullying or incitement to violence.
- Sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Malware, phishing, scams or attempts to steal credentials or data.
- Circumventing payment, access, or usage limits on FileKit or third-party services.
- Spamming other users or using the platform primarily for advertising.
5. Quality & Professionalism
- Use clear titles, concise descriptions and accurate tags so buyers can understand what they are getting.
- Replace or update Files that are broken, outdated or no longer supported, or make the limitations clear in the description.
- Keep communication with other users polite and constructive, even when there is a disagreement.
- Do not attempt to manipulate analytics, sales counts or ratings (for example by fake purchases or reviews).
6. Reporting & Enforcement
If you see a File or account that may violate these guidelines or our Terms, you can report it using the reporting tools available on file and user pages, or by contacting our support team.
We review reports and may take actions such as removing content, restricting access, warning users, or suspending or terminating accounts. In serious cases, we may also notify relevant authorities.
Enforcement decisions are made at our discretion, taking into account the context, severity and history of behavior. Repeated or severe violations are more likely to lead to permanent restrictions.
7. Questions or Feedback
If you're unsure whether something is allowed, or you have suggestions for improving these guidelines, please reach out to us via the Contact page or by emailing support@filekit.app.
